About me
I'm Gordon Kok. I studied at Boston University and Arizona State University and earned a B.S. in Biology and Ethics. I have five years of teaching experience, including time as a Teach for America Teaching Fellow, and a background in clinical consulting.
From 2023 to 2025 I tutored student athletes for Arizona State University Athletics. They carried full course loads around practice, competition and travel, so I built study plans that fit their schedules. That work spanned ASU's move from the Pac 12 to the Big 12, a period in which ASU led the Big 12 in NCAA Academic Progress Rate recognition awards.
I've also tutored students in China, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. For your student, that means a tutor who has worked with many starting points and school systems, and who knows how to find what's getting in the way and plan around it.
